Deonte Jackson and
Andrew Eberhardt combined for 47 points in LETU's 99-88 victory over Schreiner at Solheim Arena Saturday.
The Yellowjackets improved to 2-0 this season and clinching the 2021 LETU Classic Championship. The Mountaineers dropped to 1-4 on the campaign.
From the opening tip, LETU's offense operated with a high-level of precision, draining nearly
60-percent (16-27) of their field-goal attempts, amassing a 17-point advantage at intermission. On defense, holding the guest to just 11 made baskets on 33 attempts.
Never trailing in the contest, the Yellowjackets extended their margin to 28-points with 8:20 remaining. With the contest well out of reach, both coaches began to empty their benches. Schreiner trimmed the final deficit with a 33-16 spurt over the final eight minutes.
