AUSTIN, Texas – LeTourneau University's softball team lost the final game of its three-game series at Concordia Texas Saturday, 5-1.
 
The YellowJackets fell to 4-4 overall, 3-3 in the American Southwest Conference.
 
Hana Bonner tripled to right in the top of the fourth inning, scoring Mickenzie Murry to tie the game at 1-1. But the Tornados (5-5, 2-4) scored twice in their half of the inning, and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth. 
 
LETU had three hits, while Concordia pounded 12. Murry and Emilee Anderson accounted for the Jackets' other hits.
 
Hannah Welch took the loss in the circle after allowing three runs, one earned, on eight hits, no walks and a strikeout. Bailey Richey worked the final two innings, giving up two runs, four hits and no walks, while striking out two hitters. Concordia's Bailey Tisdale went the distance without walking a batter, and fanned six to earn the win.
 
The Jackets will host McMurry on March 19.
