LONGVIEW, Texas – LeTourneau women's basketball springs back into American Southwest Conference play this weekend, hitting the road to take on Howard Payne Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Sul Ross Saturday at 1 p.m.

About LETU
The YellowJackets are geared up and ready to get back into the winning column after falling to nationally ranked Trinity in a non-conference matchup in its last game. LETU currently sits at No. 5 in the tough ASC standings. The Jackets know how to fill it up, fostering the third ranked scoring offense in the league at 71.6 points per contest. A big factor to LETU's scoring habits is the three headed scoring monster of Keauna Whitfield, Allaira Jones, and Ajanae Thomas. Whitfield leads the ASC in scoring at 18.8 points per game and Jones sits at No. 3 with 15.7 points, while Thomas tallies a 12.5 average to pit her at eighth. Jones is also proficient in collecting her points, shooting a 53% clip from the field this season. LeTourneau is also tough on the glass, ranking No. 2 in rebounding defense, while sitting at No. 3 in rebounding margin at +4.6. The Lobos come into the contest after falling to American Southwest Conference power Hardin-Simmons in its last game. Sul Ross brings in the sixth ranked offense in the league, averaging 67.7 points. The dynamic duo of Alexis Carmosino and Vania Hampton lead the SRSU offense, filtering in a 14.2 and 12.3 average, respectively. Sul Ross also fosters in one of the most efficient offenses in the ASC, sitting at third in field goal percentage with .383. The Lobos are tough on the boards, outrebounding teams by +3.7 rebounds per contest. Hampton and Carmosino lead the rebounding category as well, totaling over 220 rebounds between the two. Kayla James sets the pace for the offense, leading the squad in assists with 54 total to put Sul Ross at third in the league in assists per game.
