Women's Soccer Drops Road Contest at HSU

ABILENE, Texas -- A pair of first-half goals was enough for Hardin-Simmons to defeat the LeTourneau women's soccer team on Saturday evening, 2-0, in ASC action in Abilene.

Kiersten Reeser made a season-high 11 saves for LeTourneau (2-5-2, 0-4-0 ASC) in the road loss.

Hardin-Simmons (7-1-1, 3-0-0 ASC) scored twice in the opening half and made that lead stand up. Kaylee Maddox scored the game-winner in the 16th minute, assisted by Randie Dennison, to put the Cowgirls ahead 1-0. In the 42nd minute, Emma Thompson snuck one past Reeser to make it a 2-0 margin.

Reeser was tested throughout the contest as Hardin-Simmons attempted 34 shots. Kaylen McNatt had a match-high five shots for Hardin-Simmons.

Haley Foley collected the shutout at the net for the Cowgirls.
