TOURNAMENT NOTES

  • LeTourneau (15-11, 8-8 ASC) enters the tournament as the No. 4 seed.
  • The YellowJackets are making their sixth appearance in the ASC Tournament in program history and the fifth straight appearance overall. LeTourneau has made the semifinal round twice, including in last year's tournament.
  • It will be the third meeting this year between Hardin-Simmons and LeTourneau. The YellowJackets won both regular season meetings with a five-set win on Sept. 6 in Longview before a four-set win on Sept. 30 in Abilene.
  • LeTourneau has won seven straight against the Cowgirls in the all-time series.
  • LeTourneau had four players named to All-ASC teams on Wednesday, including Morgan Nix who earned Libero of the Year. Hannah Payan, Kaci Monk, and Allison Smith were all second team selections.
  • Nix has produced a record-breaking season in 2022 at the libero spot. She has 669 total digs (6.31 digs per set) and ranks in the top-five nationally in both categories and has been among the national leaders throughout the season. Nix's 669 digs are a program single-season record and she also broke program single-match records twice on the year. Her 46 digs in a four-set win over Concordia on Oct. 21 set an all-time program single-match record, while her 40 digs in a win at ETBU on Sept. 27 set the team's record in a five-set match.
  • Smith and Monk are both among the leaders in the ASC in hitting percentage, with Smith leading the team at .312. Smith is also third in the ASC in blocking at 0.88 per set.
  • As a team, LeTourneau ranks fourth in the ASC in blocks per set at 1.59.
  • Hardin-Simmons (13-9, 8-8 ASC) is led by first team All-ASC selection Gabby Jones who hit .326 with 67 total blocks on the year. Aubree McCann and Hannah Langerman were both named to the second team.
