LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau women's basketball falls at home 77-56 to the visitors of Concordia.
Concordia (3-5, 1-2 ASC) jumped to a quick lead gaining a 12-2 advantage over LeTourneau (3-7, 0-4 ASC). The YellowJackets kept fighting and closed the deficit to five by the likes of a turnaround jump shot from
Kyndall Hardeman bringing the score to 15-10, Tornados with the lead.
The Tornados took a nine-point lead into the first break up 22-13 in part to a Mackenzie Berger 3-pointer and a pair of free throws from the freshman.
Concordia carried the lead at a consistent rate through the second period. Concordia out-rebounded the  YellowJackets 16-11 through two-quarters of play.Â
The Tornados continued to build on their lead in the third quarter outscoring the Jackets 23-13 at the intermission. LeTourneau did go on to win the 4th quarter outscoring the Tornados 22-19, nine of the points from the Jackets came from the line as they went 9-for-12 in the period.Â
Concordia's Mikayla Johnson was the leading scorer putting up 12 points with three rebounds. Havyn Perez was close with 11 points and seven assists.
LeTourneau saw 12 points from
Bailey Broughton who also marked a rebound.
Haylee Jordan had nine points with five rebounds and two steals.
Ty Moon put up 11 points with two steals.
AJ Thomas put up six points, grabbed four rebounds, and marked three steals while contributing for a couple more.
