LONGVIEW, Texas – LETU fell 4-2 to No. 25 UT Dallas in game one of Sunday's doubleheader at Conrad-Vernon Field Sunday.

The YellowJackets drop to 1-4 overall, including 0-2 in American Southwest Conference play, while the Comets improved to 2-0, 2-0.

Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth, in a seven-inning game, freshman Hunter Miller sliced the deficit to one with a two RBI double to right. After surrendering a two-out RBI in the top of the seventh, the YellowJackets went down in order in the bottom of the frame.

Senior Raul Martinez toed the slab for LETU and carried a no-hitter into the fifth but took the loss. He allowed three runs – two earned – in six innings of work. He surrendered five hits, three walks – one intentional – and fanned two. Brayden Ferrie tossed the seventh, gave up one run on two hits and one free pass, while retiring three by strike out.

Dylan Cortes, Cameron Pfafman and Dane Jones registered two hits each for the YellowJackets. Weston McKinley recorded a base knock.
