JACKSON, Miss. -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team finished its third straight shutout of the season as the YellowJackets played to a 0-0 draw at Millsaps on Saturday evening.
LeTourneau (1-1-2) has three shutouts in four matches played this season.
The Jackets had the advantage in shots 8-1 with two of them being on frame for the Jackets with zero on frame for the Majors. Jackets despite having many opportunities were not able to put one past the Keeper Emily Lozano of Millsaps who records a shutout with two saves recorded for the night.
Kiersten Reeser and
Kelauna Cruz combined for the shutout at the net for the YellowJackets. Neither had to make a save on the night.
The match was an even bout all night with only three being corner kicks of the evening. Including a late corner kick for the Jackets recorded in the 78th minute which lead to a shot that was put just over the bar by the usual defender
Heather Fellows.
LeTourneau had one last attack in the final minute of the game which ended with a shot by
Terra Tucker. This ended the evening for the YellowJackets as they now look forward to traveling home.
