Women's Soccer Wins Thriller with Last Second Goal

SHREVEPORT, La. -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team scored two goals in the last ten minutes to overcome a one-goal deficit leading to a 2-1 victory over Centenary on Sunday night.

The Ladies took an early lead capitalizing off of a penalty kick scored by Alexa Hinojosa in the 25th minute. The match went on with a fairly even first half in the box score with the YellowJackets taking the first half shot advantage 6-to-5 and both teams putting three of them on frame.

The YellowJackets came out in the second half firing on all cylinders putting up ten shots making a total of 16 lead by Terra Tucker who had five shots total for the evening. Jackets, despite being shutout through 83 minutes were able to find the back of the net when Terra Tucker put one past the Ladies keeper, Madison Ersoff, to even up the score at one a piece.

As it was looking like it might be ending in a tie, Heather Fellows was able to put the YellowJackets ahead with a goal as time ticked away.

LeTourneau (2-1-2) ended holding the shot advantage 16-7 putting seven of them on frame for Ladies goalkeeper Madison Ersoff to be able to record five saves. Ersoff played all 90 minutes as well as YellowJackets' keeper Kiersten Reeser who recorded two saves for the evening.
