LONGVIEW, Texas-- The LeTourneau women's soccer team fell to Hardin-Simmons 5-0 at home on Thursday evening.
LeTourneau (5-3-3, 0-2-1 ASC) let up an early goal to Hardin-Simmons (8-0-2) and could not make up the difference as the match played out.

Kelauna Cruz marked seven saves for the YellowJackets in the first half.Â
The Cowgirls notched the first mark in the second minute of the match off a Kaylen McNatt shot to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
The YellowJacket defense held strong for the next 19 minutes as Cruz marked a couple of saves and blocked a couple of shots. However, in the 21st minute Keanne Alamo played a ball to Taylor Garrett who put it in the goal.
The Cowgirls put in one last goal before the stoppage with 17 seconds on the clock as Kirsten Bush played a ball off a ricochet and put it off the right post and in making the socre 3-0.
Hardin-Simmons out shot the YellowJackets 14-1 in the first period.
The second period started with some back-and-forth play until the Cowgirls were awarded with a penalty kick which Lexi Templin capitalized on the opportunity to make it 4-0 in the 51st minute.
Drew Lessert found an opportunity to put a shot on frame but it was saved by Jenna Russell who was in net for the Cowgirls in the second period.Â
Hardin-Simmons put in their fifth goal of the match by the likes of Kaylee Maddox who found the back of the net with an assist from Caroline Burrow.
The YellowJackets saw a couple of set-piece opportunities with a free kick which led to a corner kick in the 65th minute, but could not find the back of the net.
Jordan Williams put a shot just over the crossbar from a set-piece in the 71st minute.
Hardin-Simmons out shot the Jackets 25-5 in total.Â
Cruz saw 78 minutes at goalkeeper for LeTourneau and marked 8 saves.
Abbey Gallant played the first 12 minutes of the second half and marked a save.
Abigaiil Medlin started in net for Hardin-Simmons and played the first 45 minutes. Russell played in net for the second half.
