LONGVIEW, Texas-- The LeTourneau women's soccer team was beaten by McMurry 3-0 at home on Saturday afternoon.
McMurry (8-2-2, 1-1-1 ASC) broke the tie in the 15th minute off a shot from beyond the arc off the boot of Kaylee Worth who had the chance from Emily Holland's assist.
LeTourneau (5-4-3, 0-3-1) worked to get some offense rolling when Chanel Kemball-Cook worked an opportunity inside the box. She put a shot on frame but it was saved by the WarHawk goalkeeper Cortlynn Boone.
Another dangerous opportunity for the YellowJackets came in the 36th minute as Jordan Willams put a shot on frame which was left in play after a Boone save. Kemball-Cook then had her look at a shot which Boone was able to handle.
McMurry was able to take advantage of a corner kick as Holland collect the service from Brooklyn grove and put it in to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Alexis Lira scored the final goal of the match for McMurry as Holland and Haylie Blakely were both credited with assists in the 51st minute.Â
LeTourneau kept fighting as Natalie Alvarado got involved with a shot in the 59th minute which Boone had to gather.
The YellowJackets were out shot 17-8 and 9-5 shots on net.
Kelauna Cruz played all 90 minutes in net for LeTourneau and marked six saves. Boone also played the full length and marked a shutout with five saves.

LeTourneau will travel to Hendrix on Tuesday with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
