Men's Hoops Ends Trip With Loss

NEWBERG, Ore. -- Playing its third game in four days, the LeTourneau men's basketball team could not overcome cold shooting in a 95-62 loss at George Fox on Tuesday night in Newberg.

The game was the third on the trip to the Pacific Northwest for LeTourneau (3-2).

Caedmon Liebengood led the way once again with 12 points to go with 10 rebounds for his second career double-double. Jackson Mayes added 11 points and five rebounds, while Walker Blaine and Alex Ferrell had 10 points apiece. Ferrell grabbed seven rebounds and Branson Lynn contributed six points.

LeTourneau connected on 34.7 percent (25-of-72) from the field, but only shot 25.7 percent in the first half as George Fox opened up a big lead and never let the YellowJackets back in the contest.

A 16-5 run in the first half for the host Bruins broke open a 15-point lead for George Fox at 24-9. The margin never got below double-digits the rest of the night.

Aiden Price led four George Fox (3-1) players in double-figure scoring with 16 points while Austin Clark had 14 points. The Bruins shot 50 percent (35-of-70) for the game with eight 3-pointers and went 17-of-23 from the foul line.
