BROWNWOOD, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's tennis team got a 6-3 win on the road over Howard Payne.
The win brings LeTourneau to 5-7 (1-1 ASC) on the season.
Howard Payne was short two players leading to three default wins for the YellowJackets at the No. 3 doubles and the No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
Elizabeth Moreau and
Kylie Weeks got things rolling for the YellowJackets in the No. 2 doubles flight with their 8-3 win over Zoe Sprayberry and Nina Delafuente. In the top flight,
Brandy Weems and
Emma Boulanger dropped one 8-3 to Lexie Nave and Victoria Ramos.
Boulanger snagged a nice 7-5, 6-2 win over Sprayberry in the No. 3 singles. Weeks almost earned a straight-set win in her 6-0, 6-1 victory over Delafuente.
Howard Payne's Ramos outlasted Moreau in three sets by a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 score. Nave found a 6-3, 6-1 win to top Weems.
