SHERMAN, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team opened up the season with a scoreless draw against Austin College, at the Pierce Complex on Friday evening.

LeTourneau (0-0-1) controlled the action and put together a plethora of chances as they out-shot the Roos 18-8, 10-3 on frame. 

The LeTourneau defense kept Austin (0-0-1) under wraps to hold the Roos to just three shots on target. Kelauna Cruz made saves on all three to mark her first career shutout.

The YellowJackets turned up the pressure in the later parts of the match with 12 second-half shots, seven of which were on goal. 

In the 89th minute, LeTourneau found the back of the net to break the tie only to be called back for an offside offense.

Chanel Kemball-Cook gathered four shots in the last 10 minutes, three landing on frame. Kemball-Cook accounted for half of the shots on net for the YellowJackets with five, six total.

Heather Fellows put together three shots on frame to go along with Katherine Golec who had the other two for the Jackets.

The YellowJackets were able to test the home goalie, Kenedie Lane, gathering shots off of all four corner kicks they were awarded.

LeTourneau will come home to face Dallas on Monday kickoff set for 5 p.m. at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
