FARMERS BRANCH, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team scored seven goals in a victory on the road over Dallas Christian on Tuesday evening.
The seven goals scored by LeTourneau (3-1-2) are the most in a match since 2007 when they faced Concordia.Â
The YellowJackets got off to a great start scoring three goals in the first half. They out-shot the Crusaders 28-10 with 15-2 on frame.Â
Chanel Kemball-Cook put the first mark on the board in the 29th minute off a nice ball in from
Jordan Williams who was credited for the assist.Â
Kemball-Cook kept it rolling as she was able to beat the keeper, Victoria Galvan, for her second goal of the match and fifth of the season.Â
Madelynn Nunez scored her first career goal in the 40th minute.
Brandy Moran played a long ball in toward Williams who played it along to Nunez who buried it to make it 3-0 in the first half.
LeTourneau came out of the locker room and continued to dominate as a Kemball-Cook shot deflected off the keeper for Nunez to put her second career goal into the net.
Mariah Ammons also marked her first career goal when
Allison McClanahan passed the ball inside the six-yard box where Ammons made sure the ball found netting in the 58th minute.Â
Ammons scored another goal just seven minutes later on an assist from
Shelby Smith to make it 6-0 over the Crusaders.Â
Gabriella Sanchez added the cherry on top when McClanahan found Sanchez to make it 7-0 in favor of the road team.Â
The team shutout was the third straight for LeTourneau and the fourth of the season. They have marked nine in the last 21 matches dating to the start of the 2022 season.
Kelauna Cruz started in net for YellowJackets and stayed for the first 60 minutes before
Nat Ferdi came in for 17 minutes.
Abbey Gallant finished off the match for the final 13 minutes at keeper.
