BELTON, Texas -- Mary Hardin-Baylor breaks the seven-game unbeaten streak for the LeTourneau women's soccer team as the YellowJackets lost 6-0 in Belton on Saturday evening.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (9-0-0, 2-0-0 ASC) got things started in the 8th minute as Ashley Vensel scored the opener after the Cru was awarded the corner kick.

Vensel went on to score again in the 12th minute and would make a hat trick in the 68th minute.

LeTourneau (5-2-3, 0-1-1 ASC) worked in some offense as a shot from Drew Lessert was put on frame which was saved by Ainsley Westlake, in net for the Cru.

The YellowJackets found a few runs in and through the attacking third but did not find the net. Late in the first half, Tatum Fenton had a set-piece opportunity that was put just above the crossbar from distance. The Cru took a 2-0 lead into the locker room.

Kelauna Cruz marked six saves in the first half as the YellowJackets were outshot 11-2.

Morgan Rathmell put one in early in the second half for Mary Hardin-Baylor in the 53rd minute and just a little later Vensel finished her hat trick off a penalty kick in the 68th minute.

The Cru found a couple more in the 73rd and 75th minute from Breland Mungia and Ella Ruff.

Fenton took a shot on frame from the 18-yard box in the 82nd minute, but it was saved by Reagan Williams who saw the second half in net for the Cru.

Cruz notched 11 saves on the evening for the YellowJackets as she saw all 90 minutes in the net.

LeTourneau will come home and play hosts to Hardin-Simmons on Thursday with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
