RICHARDSON, Texas -- UT Dallas scored three goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation to pull away from the LeTourneau women's soccer team for a 5-0 victory over the YellowJackets on Saturday evening.
The match does not count towards league stands as UT Dallas (6-5-0) is in its transition to NCAA Division II.
Kelauna Cruz made four saves in her 70 minutes of the play the net before giving way to
Abi King, who tallied three saves in nearly 20 minutes of work.
UT Dallas scored twice in the opening half. Jules Chavez opened the scoring with her goal in the 25th minute before Chelsea Vilca added a score in the 39th minute.
The host Comets kept the 2-0 lead until the final 10 minutes of the second half. Amelia Griffin scored in the 81st minute, Natalie Garcia in the 86th minute, and Chavez added her second goal of the night just 26 seconds later.
Natalie Alvarado led LeTourneau (1-10-1) with two shots on the night.
Comet goalkeeper Jade Press made one save in her 90 minutes.
