BELTON/AUSTIN, Texas -- Facing top competition from the ASC West Division, the LeTourneau men's tennis team fell twice over the weekend on the road. The YellowJackets were downed by Mary Hardin-Baylor, 7-2, on Friday before falling, 9-0, to Concordia Texas on Saturday.

LeTourneau drops to 3-2 on the year.

Chase Rogers and Zach Farris continued to impress during the weekend.

The duo took the top flight in doubles against Mary Hardin-Baylor and defeated Joaquim Fernandes and Santiago Suarez by an 8-4 final on Friday. The duo fell on Saturday to a strong Concordia Texas squad of Joshua Bode and Adrian Munguia, but battled in an 8-6 defeat.

Rogers and Farris are 4-1 together in dual matches this season.

Rogers also took a win in singles play on Friday at Mary Hardin-Baylor. The freshman took down Suarez by a 6-3, 6-2 final at the No. 2 flight. Rogers nearly took his singles match against Concordia's Steven Scholz on Saturday, but fell in a pair of set tiebreaks 7-6, 7-6.

Farris had the task on Saturday of going against Bode, ranked No. 10 in the nation in singles. Farris fell in the contest, 6-2, 6-1. On Friday, Farris dropped a tight match to Fernandes at the top flight in a 7-6(2), 7-5 loss.

Liam Wedge had two three-set matches on the weekend. On Friday, he fell to UMHB's Barret Scott 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 and on Saturday was defeated by Concordia's Daniel Beckles 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 at the No. 4 spot.
