BELTON/AUSTIN, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's tennis team came up on the short end of a pair of non-conference matches over the weekend. The YellowJackets were defeated by Mary Hardin-Baylor, 8-1, on Friday in Belton before falling by a 9-0 final at Concordia Texas on Saturday in Austin.
LeTourneau drops to 3-3 with the losses.
The YellowJackets played tight in several matches on Friday against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Megan LeBlanc and
Grace Rogers held down the top spot in doubles and earned a hard-fought, 8-7(7), win over Mary Hardin-Baylor's Jalon Burns and Bailee Lane.
In singles, two matches went to a set tiebreak but the host Cru took both.
Isa Casso battled at No. 3 before falling to Lori Bryan by a 6-0, 7-6(5) final.
Anatole Hurta took Lane into a tiebreak in the first set before falling 7-6(1), 6-2 at the No. 5 spot.
In the loss on Saturday at Concordia, Rogers and LeBlanc put up another challenge against a strong Tornado team. The top doubles team fell to the Tornados' Isabella Cepeda and Kayla Pena 8-5.
Casso had another hard-fought singles match at the No. 3 position, but fell to Trinity Klamecki in three sets 7-5, 3-6, 10-8. Hurta also put up a challenge in her match at No. 6 before she fell to Rebekah McQueen by a 7-6, 7-5 final.

LeTourneau will be off until its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. Dates and opponents will be announced soon.
