LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau baseball team dropped game one to McMurry 10-2 on Friday night.
McMurry (16-15, 8-8 ASC) got ahead early taking a 5-0 lead after the first four frames.
LeTourneau (11-18, 5-11 ASC) got some offense rolling in the bottom half of the fourth.
Kevin Soto got aboard with a single to shortstop, made a turn to second, and reached on a throwing error.Â
Ethan Wood pushed him along with a single to left field leaving runners on the corners.Â
With two outs on the board, Hayden Norris came through with a hit to left field to bring in Soto.
Dane Jones followed that with an RBI single of his own to make it 5-2 after four.
The Warhawks scored four runs on three hits in the sixth to push it out of reach for the YellowJackets.
Aman Patel got the start and went 4.0 innings before Camden Miller came in relief and went 1.1 innings.
Lane Holman took the mound after that and pitched 2.2 innings. Holman allowed zero hits, zero runs, and got two strikeouts.
Braydon Durst (4-4) got the win for the Warhawks for his 5.0 innings. He allowed eight hits, two earned runs, and had three strikeouts. Bryson Morrill pitched 4.0 innings, allowed no hits or runs, and got two strikeouts.

LeTourneau will finish the series on Saturday (1 p.m.) with a doubleheader.Â
