Men's Tennis Drops Home Match to Ozarks

LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's tennis team fell to Ozarks, 6-3, in an ASC East match on Thursday night at the Davis Tennis Courts.

LeTourneau (3-9, 0-3 ASC East) took one point in doubles, but could not complete the comeback attempt in singles play against Ozarks (5-7, 1-1 ASC East).

Zach Farris and Chase Rogers continued to showcase their talents at the No. 1 doubles spot with an 8-7(5) win over Ozarks' Joshua Wilde and Carlos Molero Llopis. The duo has won five straight matches and is 11-3 overall on the year.

Ozarks took the No. 2 flight in doubles and then John Lewis and Timothy Black challenged the Eagles' Perry Guidry and Kao Lenkopane at the No. 3 position before falling, 8-5.

Rogers picked up his second win of the match with a 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 2 singles over Kento Iwahara. The win was Rogers' team-leading 10th singles victory of the year and moved him to 9-3 at the No. 2 flight.

Liam Wedge notched the third point for the YellowJackets with his 6-3, 6-4 victory over Lenkopane at No. 4.

Farris battled with Llopis at the top spot as the match saw a pair of tiebreaks, but it was Llopis coming out on top both times in a 7-6(0), 7-6(4) win.
