Tucker and Wyatt Do the Honors as Women's Soccer Wins on Senior Day

LONGVIEW, Texas -- Sarah Wyatt scored two goals and senior Terra Tucker added a third as LeTourneau women's soccer cruised to a 3-0 win at the LETU Soccer Field on Senior Day.

Nine seniors were honored before the match began: Abi King, Kelauna Cruz, Tucker, Camila Andrade, Brandy Moran, Michelle Olivas, Shelby Smith, Clarissa Martinez, and Zoe Harbison. Each of them entered the match and contributed to the win.

The SCAC win was the first in the career of coach Karrigan Falber, as she and her fearless assistants guided the YellowJackets (6-5-1, 1-4 SCAC) over the Ladies (0-9-2, 0-3-1 SCAC) to earn their first conference win in four seasons.

Wyatt got LeTourneau on the board quickly, scoring the first goal in the fourth minute of play. Tucker recorded the assist, driving a beautiful cross to Wyatt, who ripped it into the net to make it 1-0.

The defense then did its job the rest of the first half, with Cruz stopping the only attempt on net.

Lana Whiteman and Chanel Kemball-Cook would fire early second-half shots, with both being stopped by Ladies' keeper Morgan Stancliff.

Wyatt had other plans.

Once again, she was in the right place at the right time, redirecting a ricochet from Kemball-Cook into the net to extend the lead to 2-0.

Tucker would throw the final knockout punch, putting in an amazing shot from a tough angle on the right side in the 76th minute to seal the deal.

Olivas, Smith, Martinez and Sophia Merjil played all 90 minutes for LeTourneau on the defensive end, and the Ladies' keeper Stancliff made eight saves.
