SANDESTIN, Fla. -- LeTourneau women's golf finished 17th of 24 teams at the Golfweek October Classic, which concluded on Tuesday at the par-72 Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Sandestin, Florida.
The YellowJackets recorded a 973 in the 36-hole tournament, which was the final event of the fall for the YellowJackets.
Williams took the team title with an 8-over, 872; while the individual title was awarded to Erin Donovan of Piedmont, who shot an even-par, 216
The Golfweek October Classic is one of collegiate golf's premier events of the fall. This year's field featured seven teams ranked in the most recent WGCA Top 25 poll.
Kinley Pessel led the way for the YellowJackets with a 12-over 228 (76-78-74). The junior sank four birdies en route to a T21 finish amongst the 120-competitor field.
Emerson Swanner finished in the top half of the field with five birdies on her way to carding a 246 (77-83-86). Swanner opened the tournament with a 5-over, 77, and placed T67.
Knocking in three birdies,
Hannah Newell logged a 247 (86-80-81), placing T71.
Calli Hoesterey (259) and
Lexie Cannon (262) round out the final competitors for LeTourneau, with Hoesterey sinking three birdies along the way.
