PALM DESERT, Calif. -- The historic 2025-26 season comes to a close for the LeTourneau women's golf team, as the YellowJackets finish 24th at the NCAA Division III Championships.
LeTourneau carded a 31-over, 319 in Wednesday's round two at the par-72 Mountain View course at Desert Willow Golf Resort.
LeTourneau misses the top 15 cut and will not advance to the final two rounds of the Championships. The YellowJackets finish the tournament at 66-over, 642 (323-319) and 24th in the standings.
Kinley Pessel was tied for the top YellowJackets golfer after two rounds, finishing at 16-over, 160 (79-81) for the tournament. Pessel carded a 9-over, 81 on Wednesday, which included a pair of birdies.
Hannah Newell was also atop the scorecard for LeTourneau, carding a 16-over, 160 (80-80) between the two rounds.
Newell -- concluding her accomplished YellowJacket career -- posted an 8-over, 80 on Wednesday in a round that featured four birdies.
Emerson Swanner was LeTourneau's top scorer in round two, posting a 6-over, 78 to wrap up her season. Swanner carded four birdies on Wednesday and finished with a 17-over, 161 (83-78).
Elena Jurado bounced back on Wednesday with an 8-over, 80. Her card ends with a 21-over, 165 (85-80) after the two rounds.
Rounding out the YellowJacket golfers is
Calli Hoesterey, who finishes at 24-over, 168 (81-87) for the tournament.
LeTourneau qualified for the NCAA Championships by capturing the SCAC Championship, the first conference title in program history.
