TOURNAMENT NOTES:
- LeTourneau (19-11, 9-7 SCAC) enters the tournament on a five-match win streak, the last four of which have been sweeps. During this streak, LeTourneau punched its ticket by winning the final three conference matches of the season (Dallas, Austin College, Centenary) and Texas Lutheran dropping both of their matches last week.
- Nora Lockhart and Emma Smith were awarded All-SCAC honors on Wednesday, with Lockhart being second team and Smith named honorable mention.
- Lockhart, a junior middle, ranked fourth in the SCAC with 0.85 blocks per set in conference play, while her .356 conference hitting percentage ranked second amongst players with at least 180 attacks.
- Smith, a senior hitter, sits in the top 14 in the league -- in both overall and conference statistics -- with 230 kills (133 SCAC) and a .262 (.278 SCAC) hitting percentage.
- Despite battling through injury, senior Aubree McCann is a force when on the floor for the YellowJackets. McCann's season mark of 3.06 kills per set sits fifth in the conference.
- Not only did Emily Mullin garner votes for First-Year Player-of-the-Year, but the freshman is the reigning SCAC Setter of the Week. Additionally, Mullin's 45 service aces this season rank fifth in the SCAC.
- Mullin also made YellowJacket history earlier this year. In a 3-1 victory over Concordia Texas, the Lancaster, Pa., native had 10 kills, 17 assists, and 16 digs. This marked the first triple-double in the program's 25-point era.
- The team's libero, Maddy Hirneise, tallied 4.99 digs per set this season, good enough for fourth in the league.
- Fourth-year head Coach Alison Williams has yet to miss a postseason in her time at LeTourneau. In fact, this marks the YellowJackets' eighth consecutive season featuring postseason play, and ninth overall in the NCAA-era.
- It has been an overall historic season for the YellowJackets, one of the best in program history. Not only did Williams' squad tie the program's best 15-match start to a season (10-5), but the team's 19 victories broke the program's NCAA-era season win record. It is the second-most victories all-time (20, 1987)
- The YellowJackets are still searching for their first conference championship match appearance, reaching only the semifinals four times in the NCAA-era.
