Men's Basketball Falls in ASC Tournament Semifinals

MARSHALL, Texas -- The No. 2-seeded LeTourneau men's basketball team had a double-digit first-half lead, but No. 3 seed Mary Hardin-Baylor rallied and held off the YellowJackets, 97-89, in an ASC Tournament semifinal on Friday afternoon inside Ornelas Gym.

LeTourneau ends the year 18-8 overall. It is the eighth winning season in the last nine seasons for the YellowJackets.

Eli Beard had all the answers for Mary Hardin-Baylor. Beard scored a tournament record 44 points and hit a 3-pointer after Liebengood's triple to extend the Cru's lead back to four with 2:22 left. Free throws down the stretch sealed the win for the Cru.
