ARLINGTON, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's tennis team dropped a midweek week matchup with conference foe Hardin-Simmons with a final score of 7-0. Due to an early season rain out the two squads met at the halfway point between the two universities to square off in this rescheduled match.
The loss moves to the YellowJackets to 4-7 on the campaign, while the Cowboys move to 4-3 on the season.
LeTourneau freshman
Andrew Reiman and
Diego Maldonado put together a strong outing in the No. 2 doubles flight, winning 7-5 to pull the score back to even going into the third flight. Unfortunately, Hardin-Simmons' team of Nick Boquet and Jameson Sorrell was able to secure the doubles point, beating
Timothy Black and
Brayden Money.
The YellowJackets were unable to secure a victory in singles play. Reiman came close, as his was the final match to conclude in the order of finish, but he would ultimately come up short in the final set, the score concluded 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
