HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The LeTourneau women's tennis team began its spring break trip to Hilton Head with a 6-1 loss to John Carroll on Friday as part of the PTR Spring Break Fest.
The loss dropped the YellowJackets to 2-4 overall on the year.
LeTourneau hung tough in doubles play, but dropped all three matches as John Carroll took the point.
Chloe Tesser and
Kylie Weeks took Madi Davila and Caroline Chandler to a tiebreak before falling 7-6(3) at the No. 3 flight.
Tesser notched the lone point for the YellowJackets in the match. She defeated Chandler at the No. 6 flight by a 7-5, 6-3 final. Tesser moved to 4-2 on the year in dual matches.
John Carroll (4-2) took the other five singles flights to earn the win.
UP NEXT
LeTourneau takes on Penn State Behrend (11 a.m. CST) and Gordon (4:30 p.m. CST) on Saturday in Hilton Head.
