ARLINGTON, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's tennis team finished the regular season in style on Monday night with a 5-2 win over Howard Payne at the Arlington Tennis Center.
The match was a rescheduled one from an April 5 rain out in Brownwood.Â
LeTourneau (7-11, 1-3 ASC) opened the match by taking two of the three doubles matches to earn a 1-0 match lead.
Emma Boulanger and
Maddie Nichol were 6-3 winners over Nina Delafuenta and Mikayla Hernandez at the No. 2 flight while
Kylie Weeks and
Chloe Tesser picked up a 6-2 win over Kendra Werlein and Caroline Marshall at No. 3.
Boulanger earned a 6-4, 6-0 win over Marshall at the No. 3 singles flight for her second win of the match. Weeks and Tesser also collected singles wins. Weeks downed Werlein 6-0, 7-5 at the No. 5 flight and Tesser was a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Hernandez at No. 6.
Elizabeth Moreau collected a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 as LeTourneau pulled away for the win.
