LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's soccer team fell to No. 15 Southwestern, 4-1, on Thursday evening at the Joyce Family Athletic Village. 

The victory moves the visiting Pirates to 6-0-1 on the year, while the YellowJackets fall to 0-2-3 on the season. 

Southwestern jumped out to an early lead scoring two goals in the span of 13 seconds. Greyson Pinto scored the first goal off of a feed from Ross Anderson, and Quinn MacLeod scored the second unassisted. 

LeTourneau was able to cut the deficit to one before the end of the first half, as Leandro Ferreira notched his first collegiate goal in the 39th minute of the match. Ferreira made a tremendous hustle play to take advantage of a defenders blunder and fire the ball into the back of the net. 

Ferreira is now one of six YellowJackets to score a goal this season, as each of the goals has been scored by a different player. 

Southwestern notched two second half scores, the first was off the foot of Daniel Sartorio assisted by Quinn MacLeod. The second was a penalty kick goal for Danny Wasserman. 

Carson Gamble made his first start of the season, in net for LeTourneau. Gamble gathered six saves in his 75 minutes of action, including his second penalty kick save of the season. Octavio Jacquez played the final 15 minutes of the match for the YellowJackets. 

Elias Arreguin, Jeffrey Boedeker, and Henry Shore all fired shots on goal.
