LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team saw its four-match home winning streak snapped on Friday evening in a 1-0 loss to visiting Concordia Texas in SCAC action at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
LeTourneau (5-2-1, 0-1-0 SCAC) lost at home for just the first time in 2025. It was the conference opener for both LeTourneau and Concordia Texas (1-5-1, 1-0-0 SCAC), while it was the first-ever SCAC match for the YellowJackets.
The visiting Tornados struck first in the sixth minute and then held on over the final 84 minutes of play. Abbie Adcock scored in the sixth minute as she received a long through ball from Riley Jackson and scored from the left side of the box.
The goal was Adcock's first of the season and it was the first score allowed by LeTourneau at home in five matches this season.
Both teams took eight shots in the opening period. LeTourneau had three of those on target, including attempts from
Sarah Wyatt,
Chanel Kemball-Cook, and
Darby Perry.
The YellowJackets stepped up the pressure in the second half, but could not capitalize on its chances. LeTourneau had six shots over the final 45 minutes, but
Brandy Moran and
Shelby Smith had their on-target attempts saved by Concordia keeper Avery Wright.Â
LeTourneau had two looks in the final five minutes. Shots from
Lana Whiteman and
Camila Andrade were challenged well and did not land on frame.
Kinsey Fulks made four saves at net for LeTourneau, while Wright had five for the Tornados.
Michelle Olivas, Kemball-Cook, Whiteman, and Smith all ahd two shots each for the YellowJackets. Concordia held a 16-14 shot edge.
