JACKSONVILLE, Texas -- LeTourneau women's golf shot a 669 to finish fourth at the Jacksonville College Classic on Tuesday, with
Emerson Swanner landing inside the top four individually.
Swanner's overall score of 13-over, 155, gave her the first top-5 tournament finish of her career, along with her fourth top-10 finish. The sophomore from Spring, Texas collected two birdies during the course of the tournament.
Freshman
Calli Hoesterey came in 13th overall with her 24-over, 166, earning one birdie and setting a new season best round of 80 in round one.
Four strokes behind Hoesterey was
Hannah Newell, who had a 28-over, 170 and two birdies.
Lexie Cannon holed a birdie and had a 36-over, 178 for the tournament to round out the YellowJacket top four.
Freshmen
Halle Carr (186) and
Teresa Sanborn (191) were the final two competitors for LeTourneau, with Sanborn recording a birdie.
Blinn College won the team title with a score of 595, and Daniah Syed of Blinn won the individual title with a 2-over, 144.
