Women's Soccer Cruises Past Dallas

IRVING, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team soared past the Dallas Crusaders with a 4-0 victory.

It was all YellowJackets at Crusader Fields on Sunday afternoon, as LeTourneau (9-2-1, 3-1-1 SCAC) used a four-goal first half to secure the victory over Dallas (0-9-2, 0-5-2 SCAC).

The win not only pushes LeTourneau's conference unbeaten streak to four, but marks the ninth victory of the season, the most since 2019.

Chanel Kemball-Cook continued her electric senior campaign, earning a brace by scoring a pair of goals within five minutes of each other.

Kennedy Gortney netted her second goal of the season, while Reagan Parks' third goal came with just seconds remaining in the first half.

Kemball-Cook's opening score came in the 25th minute via a cross from Gortney in the scramble following a corner kick. The pass put Kemball-Cook right at the face of the goal, allowing for an easy chip to put the Jackets ahead 1-0.

The assist was Gortney's fifth of the season.

Kemball-Cook only needed herself for the second goal (29'), firing a rocket from the top of the box, flying just below the crossbar to extend LeTourneau's lead.

The goal was Kemball-Cook's 14th of the year, tied for third most in a single season in program history.

Gortney's goal made the score 3-0 in the 33rd minute. After a scramble in the box, Parks sent a one-touch pass to Gortney's right foot, careening the ball into the net untouched by Dallas.

LeTourneau's final score came when Parks (44') intercepted a Crusader pass on the right edge of the box, driving it into the back of the net with a defender draped on her back to put the nail in the coffin just before the one-minute announcement.

Kinsey Fulks and Olivia Flores completed their third combined shutout of the season.
