ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team escaped its first road trip with a massive 3-1 win over Concordia Texas on Sunday afternoon at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
Despite its program record six-match win streak ending on Friday, LeTourneau (7-2, 1-1 SCAC) bounced back, earning three critical points and it's first conference win of 2026.
The YellowJackets got their revenge on a Tornado team that defeated them a year ago. The Tornados (2-5-1, 1-1-1 SCAC) were picked third in the SCAC preseason coaches' poll and received a first-place vote.
Concordia took control early, scoring in just the third minute. Maddie Oberholtzer set Isabella Vassallo up on a perfect cross directly in front of the net, allowing for a quick touch goal to put the Tornados ahead 1-0.
However, in the 23rd minute, freshman defensive star
Presley McIrvin found herself in the box following the breakdown of a set piece.
The center back fired a loose ball with her left foot, splitting a pair of defenders and sneaking in by the left post to score her first career goal and tie the match at 1-1.
After a back-and-forth swing of possession to finish the opening half and well into the second, who else but
Chanel Kemball-Cook secured the game-winner in the 79th.
The Kemball-Cook sister connection struck once again, as
Sierra Kemball-Cook sent a cross in from the right side, allowing Chanel to earn a one-on-one opportunity and strike from 10 yards out.
It was the SCAC-leading 12th goal of the season for Kemball-Cook, also marking a new single-season high for the senior. 12 goals ties Kemball-Cook at seventh-most in a single season in program history.
Additionally,
Sierra Kemball-Cook inked her fifth assist of the year, which is tied for the conference lead and already ties for eighth most in a single season in program history.
The door shut in the winding minutes of the match, as a free kick taken by
Jaye Dugan was sent backwards on a clearance attempt, but fell in for an own goal, putting the YellowJackets ahead 3-1 and securing the win.
Kemball-Cook registered three shots on goal, while McIrvin, Dugan, and
Angel Reyes accounted for one apiece.
