CONWAY, Ark. -- The LeTourneau women's soccer team earned its first draw of the 2026 campaign on Friday night against the Hendrix Warriors.
The YellowJackets (7-2-1, 1-1-1 SCAC) jumped out to an early lead, but an incredible second-half goal by the Warriors (1-5-3, 0-0-2 SCAC) pushed the final to 1-1.
Despite a mirror score of last year's contest against Hendrix, LeTourneau has now earned four points through just three conference matches, a significantly better start to league play than a year ago.
It was
Sierra Kemball-Cook who opened the scoring at Warrior Soccer Field, inking her fourth goal of the season.
In the 11th minute, the freshman snatched a drive back from a defender and fired the go-ahead past the outstretched arms of Hendrix's Kennedy Lewis and into the bottom right corner.
The first half was very tight-knit with LeTourneau edging the shot comparison 6-5.
The final half, however, heavily favored the Warriors, owning the shot count 12-5.
The equalizer came in the 58th minute, when Grace Sandoval rocketed an unsaveable ball into the top right corner from just outside the box.
Chanel Kemball-Cook registered three shots on goal in the match, with
Lana Whiteman accounting for two more.
Kinsey Fulks staved off the late push for a winner by Hendrix, securing two of her six saves within the final ten minutes.
