ROUND ROCK, Texas -- In an announcement made before the LeTourneau men's soccer team's first round win over Dallas, Kristian Princ was named the 2026 SCAC Men's Soccer Elite 19 award winner.
Princ is the sixth LeTourneau student athlete to win the award since joining the SCAC in 2025.
The SCAC Elite 19 is awarded annually to the student-athlete who has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA, at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and earns All-SCAC honors for that particular season.
Princ, a senior defender from Eden Prairie, Minn., currently holds a cumulative GPA of 3.91 majoring in Business Finance and earned first-team All-SCAC honors.
Princ had the best season of his career in 2026, earning two SCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors (Sept. 8, 2026; Oct. 12, 2026) and finishing one vote shy of SCAC Defensive Player of the Year. The senior also earned first-team all-conference honors as a defender for the first time in his career.
Princ has been a key part of a defense that has stifled opponents all season long. LeTourneau has allowed just 0.95 goals per game, only 10.3 shots per game, and recorded nine shutouts on the season. Princ has been a big reason for the YellowJackets' current streak of four consecutive shutouts, which is an NCAA-era program record.
Princ also found a way to get involved offensively this season, scoring his first career goal in a 6-1 rout over Hendrix. Friday night, Princ was placed early in the penalty kick lineup, shooting fourth and easily making his kick to keep the YellowJackets alive in the shootout against Concordia Texas, which they eventually won to advance to the SCAC championship game.
During his career, Princ is a three-time academic all-conference selection and was named to the CSC Academic All-District team in 2024.
LeTourneau will face Colorado College Sunday afternoon (2:00 p.m.) for the SCAC title at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas.
