SUWANEE, Ga. -- A record-breaking performance in the outdoor opener landed LeTourneau women's track and field freshman
Hannah Dunster SCAC Field Athlete of the Week honors, announced the league on Tuesday.
Dunster not only earns her first career weekly honor, but also becomes the first YellowJacket to collect a SCAC weekly award.
A freshman from Huntsville, Texas, Dunster set a program record in the long jump at 5.25 meters (17' 2.75") and won the event at the LeTourneau Invitational. She also cleared 1.46 meters (4' 9.5") in the high jump and claimed first in that event.
Dunster also set a personal best in the 200-meter event, earning a first-place finish with a time of 27.09.
LeTourneau returns to action on Saturday at the Cowboy Relays, hosted by McNeese.
