CONWAY, Ark. -- The LeTourneau men's tennis team fell to Hendrix, 7-0, on Friday in SCAC play at the Hatcher Tennis Center.
LeTourneau (5-4, 2-2 SCAC) was playing its second match in as many days.
Hendrix (8-4, 4-0 SCAC) opened the match by taking two of the three doubles lines to grab a 1-0 lead. LeTourneau's duo of
Zach Farris and
Timothy Black picked up a 6-2 win over Hendrix's Jesse Koeleman and Rowan McCollum at the No. 2 spot. Hendrix took wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots.
LeTourneau battled in singles play, but could not nab a win.
Fernando Vazquez wen three sets with Maximilian Henderson at the No. 3 line, but fell 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-4. Black also had a tiebreak in the first set in his match against Santiago Perez at the No. 4 flight in a 7-6(4), 6-0 loss.
Hayden Harry fell in a second-set tiebreak to Matias Ancieta at the No. 6 spot 6-2, 7-6(3).
