LONGVIEW, Texas -- Playing its third match in five days, the LeTourneau men's tennis team dropped a non-conference match 7-0 to East Texas Baptist on Tuesday afternoon at the Davis Tennis Complex.
LeTourneau moves to 6-6 on the season, while the Tigers' win moves them to 9-6.
ETBU swept all three doubles flights to earn a 1-0 lead.Â
In singles play, both
Zach Farris and
Andrew Reiman were able to force a third set, but nary a YellowJacket was able to capture a win.
Farris, in the No. 1 flight, fell to ETBU's Sam Black by a score of 7-5, 4-6, 10-5. Jaco Snyman bested Reiman at the No. 2 line, 6-3, 2-6, 10-2.
ETBU clinched the victory in the No. 3 flight when Mark Armbruster bested
Diego Maldonado in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.
Hayden Harry showed fight late in the No. 6 flight, but fell to the Tiger's Max Karseno 6-2, 7-5.
UP NEXT
LeTourneau gets the weekend off before returning to SCAC action, traveling to Colorado Springs on April 10 to face St. Thomas.
