LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau baseball dropped the season finale (7 innings) to #RV/25 Concordia Texas on Friday at Conrad-Vernon Field.
LeTourneau (9-8, 7-5 SCAC) was held to one hit in the afternoon matchup, coming from
Blake Vice leading off the fifth inning.
Jaxson Frazier (1-0) pitched a gem for the Tornados (9-5, 7-5 SCAC), facing the minimum through the first six innings, with his final line being 6.1 shutout innings, one hit, and three walks.
Ameron Sheikh (1-1) received the loss in his start, allowing five runs on three hits and five walks through 3.1 innings.
Ryan Brewer gave LeTourneau 1.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen, while
Cruz Cox produced a shutout inning as well.
Jett Warner produced the first two runs for Concordia, with RBI singles in the first and third innings. Samuel Ortiz tacked on another in the third with a single to third base.
The Tornados added two in the fourth, along with a three-run sixth inning, before London Hyle's two-RBI single in the seventh secured the run-rule victory.
Warner went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a run, while Hyle also hit home three baserunners.
UP NEXT
With the homestand coming to a close, LeTourneau will travel to Shreveport, La., for an SCAC series against Centenary next weekend (March 13-14).
