HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The LeTourneau men's tennis team coasted past Carroll, 4-0, on Sunday in Hilton Head.
It was the second straight win for LeTourneau (5-1) as the YellowJackets continue a hot streak to open the 2026 season. It is the second straight year that LeTourneau and Carroll (4-7) have met on Hilton Head, with each team winning once.
LeTourneau took all three doubles spots to go ahead 1-0 in the match.
Andrew Reiman and
Fernando Vazquez dispatched Carroll's Ryan LaBelle and Ultrick Gellein, 6-1, at the top flight while
Timothy Black and
Zach Farris were 6-4 winners over Andrew LaBelle and David Eman at No. 2.
Hayden Harry and
Diego Maldonado had little trouble in a 6-1 win over Layton Carls and Felix Persson at No. 3.
The YellowJackets then took the top three flights in singles to finish off the match.
Farris was a 6-2, 6-3 winner over Gellein at the top flight and Reiman outlasted Andrew LaBelle at No. 2, 7-6(3), 7-5. Vazquez won 6-3, 6-1 over Ryan LaBelle at No. 3.
The match was played to clinch as inclement weather moved into the area. Maldonado was ahead on Persson, 6-0, 5-2 when the match was sealed by the YellowJackets. Black was battling early in set one against Eman at No. 5, while Harry's match vs. Carls at No. 6 had no score when play was halted.
