COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- LeTourneau men's tennis couldn't hold on to an early lead, as Colorado College rallied for a 5-2 victory on Sunday at Lifetime Fitness.
After the YellowJackets (6-8, 3-5 SCAC) went up 2-0, the Tigers (9-6, 8-0 SCAC) won the final five singles matches to remain undefeated in conference play.
LeTourneau handed Colorado its first doubles point loss in conference play this season.
Despite the Tigers' 6-1 victory at the No. 3 doubles line to open the day, LeTourneau took the other two doubles matches to lead 1-0.
Andrew Reiman and
Fernando Vazquez downed Justin Boder and Dominik Kaminski 6-1 at the No. 1 doubles line, then
Timothy Black and
Zach Farris clinched the doubles point with their 6-3 win over Sam Dilworth and Lenny Lehmitz at the No. 2 doubles flight.
In singles play, Farris took care of Kaminski at the No. 1 flight, winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-4), giving the YellowJackets a 2-0 lead in the conference match.
However, the momentum then swung in favor of the host Tigers.
Dilworth earned Colorado's first points with his 6-4, 6-1 victory over Vazquez at the No. 3 line.
At the No. 2 flight, Reiman fell to Lehmitz (3-6, 6-4, 10-8) in his fifth third-set tiebreaker this season, tying the match 2-2.
Ross Cockrell gave the Tigers the match lead with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over
Diego Maldonado in the No. 5 flight.
The match was clinched when Hugo Vohmann defeated
Brayden Money 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 4 singles line.
