LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's tennis team got back on the winning side with a 7-0 victory over McMurry in SCAC play on Thursday at the Davis Tennis Complex.
LeTourneau (8-7, 5-4 SCAC) was already assured of a victory before the match started as McMurry (0-19, 0-9 SCAC) traveled just two players.
Kylie Weeks notched two victories in the match. She and
Chloe Tesser won over Madi Gonzalez and Jenna Vincent at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 victory. The win was the tandem's ninth of the year, all coming at the top flight.
Weeks then defeated Vincent at No. 1 singles by a 6-1, 6-2 final. It was her ninth dual match singles win of the year, and the 13th overall for the senior.
Maddie Nichol had the other win for the YellowJackets as she bested Gonzalez 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 2 flight for her seventh dual match singles win of the season.
It was the fourth shutout for LeTourneau this season.
