Chris Hynes is in his first season as a student assistant coach with the LeTourneau University men's basketball program.
As a member of the YellowJackets for the last three years, Hynes played in 75 contest with an average of 17.8 minutes per contest. The crafty guard averaged 4.1 points and 3.1 assists a game with a 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.
For the last three years, Hynes has served on the LETU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and during 2014-15 he served as the President. As a freshman, he was named to the ASC All-Freshman Team East Division.
Prior to LeTourneau, he was a three-year letterwinner at Wesbury High School and one-year letterwinner at Willowridge HS. He averaged 21 points per game, seven rebounds per game, five assists per game, and four steals per game to lead his team his senior season.
He is the son of Twyla and Gerald Hynes and has two sisters, Briahna and Kenedy and two half-siblings, Christian and Alxus.
Hynes is majoring in Kinesiology with a focus in Sports Communication.
