Chris Lipp

  • Title
    Director of Discipleship

Chris Lipp joins the LeTourneau University Men’s Soccer program for the 2019 season in the role of Director of Discipleship.

Coach Lipp graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Psychology, completed his Theological Studies at the International School of Theology, and served for 19 years with Cru, mentoring and discipling college students.

Lipp recently moved to Longview to serve as pastor at Hope Fellowship, the same church that was attended by LeTourneau University founder R.G. LeTourneau.

As the Director of Discipleship, Coach Lipp will be discipling and mentoring players through a very important time of their lives as these young men look to grow in their walk with the Lord. The soccer program wants to have quality soccer players and win games, but the greater goal is to help prepare them for life. Lipp will also be in charge of community service and outreach for the men’s soccer program.

Coach Lipp is a resource that God will use to help these players become the men that God is calling them to be.

Coach Lipp is happily married to his lovely wife, Jen (who is head coach of the Longview Metro Aquatics swim team), and they are the proud parents of three children.
