Sam Cole

Sam Cole was named an assistant men’s soccer coach for LeTourneau University in 2019.

In 2020-21, Cole helped coach a team that recorded its first winning season since 2010. The YellowJackets went 6-5 overall, recording wins over Concordia Texas and at Ozarks. LETU earned seven All-American Southwest Conference honors. LeTourneau recorded four shutouts.

In his first season, Cole was part of a team that went 7-10-2 overall and 5-6 in the ASC. The YellowJackets advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament. LeTourneau knocked off No. 7 Hardin-Simmons, 3-1, in the regular season.

Cole is a 2013 graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, where he was a mainstay for the Lancer defense for four seasons. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies and played alongside current YellowJacket head coach Collin Cone. As a player, Cole appeared in two NCCAA regional championships, won a NCCAA regional championship, and made two NCCAA National Tournaments with the 2011 and 2012 teams. 

Cole is responsible for monitoring academics, recruiting, and training players in smaller groups to help develop individual skills. 

Cole currently holds a United States Soccer Federation D License, and resides in Longview. He completed his masters degree in business management at LeTourneau.
