Marc Rozanski was named assistant women's basketball coach at LeTourneau University in July of 2019.
In 2020-21, the YellowJackets went 12-6 overall for a .667 winning percentage -- the highest in the NCAA era at LeTourneau. The Jackets were 8-4 in the American Southwest Conference, advancing to the quarterfinals of the league postseason tournament for the second straight year. LETU won the Dallas Christian College Christmas Classic, and head coach Cassi Rozanski was named the Women's Hoop Dirt/Pivot Analysis Division III Coach of the Week. The Jackets collected eight All-ASC honors, highlighted by Keauna Whitfield's ASC All-Conference selection. AJ Thomas was named ASC East Co-Newcomer of the Year.
In his first season with the YellowJackets, Rozanski helped LeTourneau improve its win total by eight games as LETU went 14-12 overall, 10-6 in the ASC. The Jackets qualified for the ASC Championship Tournament. LeTourneau earned eight All-ASC honors.
Prior to his arrival at LETU, Rozanski served as a college men’s assistant coach at the NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA levels, and as a high school head men’s basketball coach for the 2018-19 season.
Preceding his coaching at the high school ranks, Rozanski served as the strength and conditioning coordinator and assistant men’s basketball coach at Rogers State University, helping the Hillcats to a 19-10 overall record during the 2016-17 season. While at RSU, he was primarily responsible for the development of perimeter play, and coached Heartland Conference Newcomer of the Year JD Tisdale and Heartland Conference Player of the Year Jeylyn Sharpe.
During the 2015-16 season, Marc, and head YellowJacket women’s basketball coach, Cassi Rozanski, were the only married couple in the nation to serve on the same NCAA Division I men’s basketball coaching staff. While at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Marc served as an assistant coach while Cassi served as the program's Director of Operations under head coach Dan Hipsher. The couple coached Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Antonio Green.
Prior to UTRGV, he was an assistant men’s basketball coach at West Virginia Wesleyan. At Wesleyan, Rozanski coached All-American nominee and MEC All-Conference performer Tanner McGrew. McGrew led the country in double-doubles in his senior campaign and is currently playing professionally in Portugal. In addition to McGrew, Rozanski also coached MEC All-Conference point guards Mo Berchie and Clay Todd.
In 2013-14, Rozanski served as an assistant men’s coach at the University of Texas at Tyler. While in Tyler, Rozanski worked for head coach Jamon Copeland, who was also Rozanski’s collegiate coach at Ave Maria University. Together, they led the Patriots to the most wins by a first-year men’s basketball coaching staff in school history, collecting the first postseason win in program history. Rozanski coached ASC Newcomer of the Year Bryce Kemp.
Rozanski initially entered the collegiate coaching ranks under head coach Jon Bishop at the University of Saint Mary as a graduate assistant during the 2012-13 season. Rozanski helped USM to a 22-9 record and regular season KCAC Championship. Rozanski coached KCAC Player of the Year and All-American Jordan Wilcox. He also helped bring in a recruiting class that included three-time First Team All-American Grant Greenberg. Greenberg scored 3,178 points in his career at USM, and surpassed Kansas University legend Danny Manning as the all-time leading collegiate scorer in the state of Kansas. Greenburg led the country in scoring two of his four years and averaged 28 points per game for his entire collegiate career. In addition to Wilcox and Greenburg, Rozanski also coached KCAC All-Conference selections Kevin Harvey and Chip Schneider.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rozanski attended Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. While at Serra, Rozanski played for his father and Hall of Fame coach Robert Rozanski. The elder Rozanski led his teams to multiple section, district, and state championships, while compiling more than 500 victories in his 32-year coaching career. Rozanski enjoyed success as a point guard, finishing his career as the school’s all-time leading scorer. Rozanski also excelled in football as a quarterback, passing for over 1,200 yards, and rushing for over 1,000 yards in 2007. He garnered all-state honors in both sports, and was named The Daily News Basketball Player of the Year and The Daily News Athlete of the Year in 2007.
As a collegiate student-athlete, Rozanski attended Seton Hill University out of high school before transferring to and graduating from Ave Maria University. During his time at AMU, Rozanski garnered All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2010-11 as he ranked in the top 7 nationally for NAIA in assists per game, total assists, and assist to turnover ratio. Additionally, Rozanski also currently holds the school record for most assists in a single game and was named the teams’ most valuable player in 2009-10 and team defensive MVP in 2010-11.
Rozanski earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Ave Maria University in 2011 and graduated from the University of Saint Mary with a Master’s in Business Administration in 2015. He is married to women's basketball head coach Cassi Rozanski. Along with their 5-year-old son, Milan, the Rozanski’s reside in Longview.
