QUOTABLE
"As we conducted a national search for the position, Scot's name rose quickly to the top," LeTourneau Vice President for Athletics Dr. Tim Sceggel said. "As a longtime coach, he has a heart for discipleship, and proved his ability to win as an assistant at an elite Division III, and as a collegiate head coach. Consequently, we are thrilled to launch a new era of women's basketball under his leadership."
"My wife, Lori, and I are extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to join LeTourneau University and the athletic department in discipling young people for Christ," MacAllister said at the time of his hiring. "The chance to be a part of a reboot with the women's basketball program, while challenging, stokes the competitive fire. There's joy to be found in the work so let us lace 'em up and get after it! After our campus visit and my meetings with President Mason and Dr. Sceggel I texted my wife, 'I want to work here. These people love Jesus!'"
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
In 2024-25, LeTourneau advanced to the ASC Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2016. Under MacAllister, the YellowJackets had two All-ASC honorees and one All-ASC Defensive Team selection. The nine wins were the most since the 2021-22 season. A program-record four players made CSC Academic All-District honors.
In year two of MacAllister's tenure, the YellowJackets continued the rebuild process. Haylee Jordan had a standout season and earned All-ASC honorable mention accolades after breaking the program record for blocks in a season (73, 3.3 per game). The team also set a program record for free throw percentage (.720) in a single-season.
Faced with a rebuild of the program in his first season, MacAllister's team produced eight wins and had two All-ASC selections (AJ Thomas, Bailey Broughton). The team upset Sul Ross State on Senior Day to cap the home season and played six games against nationally-ranked opponents (including national runner-up Christopher Newport).

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT MACALLISTER
"Scot and I arrived at SMWC at the same time, so I have had the privilege of watching him implement his culture into the program from day one. He instilled a confidence into the girls from the very beginning that if they trusted the process that they were going to be successful. Scot is going to be a huge loss not only to the SMWC women's basketball team but to the entire department."
- James Walker, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Head Softball Coach
"This is an absolute home run hire by LeTourneau. Coach Scot is a tireless, proven recruiter of high-quality student athletes. His reputation as a relationship builder with the current and future YellowJackets and within the LeTourneau community will be noticeable from the moment he arrives to campus. I am certain that the program will see remarkable success under his leadership."
- Alex Richey, former Head Women's Basketball Coach, Oglethorpe University
"Coach MacAllister has established himself as a respected coach because of his work ethic and dedication toward the success of his student-athletes. LeTourneau is getting an outstanding person, a tremendous recruiter, and a great basketball motivator. Scott understands the importance of developing and investing in his student-athletes, both on and off the court. He will be a fantastic addition to the entire LeTourneau community and the American Southwest Conference.
- Chris Hitchcock, Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, Hanover College and former Division III head coach
"Coach Mac was an invaluable part of our women's basketball program at Centre College. He will be a great leader addition for the LeTourneau program and a great addition to the university. Not only great basketball coach but he is a great mentor to the ladies he coaches. He will provide them a great experience and prepare them for life after graduation as well as anyone. During Coach Mac's time at Centre, I learned as much from him, hopefully as much as he learned from me, it was wonderful to work with him. I am excited to see him return to the Division III level and watch his success in his new endeavor."
– Wendi Austin, Head Women's Basketball Coach, Centre College
