The LeTourneau University volleyball team had three players – junior

Alli Bordelon tied a season-high with 21 digs to lead the YellowJackets to a 25-18, 25-18, 25-27, 25-18 win over Sul Ross State on Friday evening in Longview.
It is the first time in 2014 that LETU had three players with double-digit kills as they raised their record to 8-18 overall and 4-9 in the American Southwest Conference. The .197 hitting percentage was the highest since a .250 clip against Howard Payne on September 20.
Sul Ross State (5-18, 1-12 ASC) was held to a .047 hitting percentage with Erica Fuentes pacing the attack with seven kills. Rahegan Shawn was a strong presence on the front line with eight blocks – a solo block and seven assists to go along with six kills.
The YellowJackets had a balanced attack throughout the match with a .306 hitting percentage in set one and set four victories. In set one, Stutts led the attack with four kills and Bordelon had five digs. For the second set, LETU got kills from five-difference players and it was a strong game of service with four aces. In the third set, SRSU built a 7-0 lead; however, LETU rallied to take a 22-17 lead in the set. The Lobos came back with a 10-3 run to win the set, 27-25 and force a fourth set. In the fourth set, Kroese got hot with a team-high five kills and six digs en route to her fifth double double. The sophomore from Twin Falls, Idaho finished the night with 17 digs to go along with her 10 kills. LeTourneau led from start-to-finish to take the fourth set and the match.
The YellowJackets take a brief hiatus from ASC action on Saturday when they host Dallas Christian at noon and Jarvis Christian at 4 p.m. inside Solheim Arena.
