Leandro Fernandez scored off a deflection to lead UT Tyler to a 1-0 win over LeTourneau University on Saturday evening in Longview.
UT Tyler (8-4-4, 4-3-2 ASC) had three shots that were saved by LETU sophomore goalkeeper
Miguel Cabrera and Fernandez had a shot that hit the cross bar in the 29
th minute before scoring off the defelection in the 38
th minute.

LeTourneau (4-11-2, 2-5-2 ASC) was limited to seven shots and Cabrera had five saves in the loss. LETU nearly got on the board in the 26
th minute on a diving header by sophomore
Adam Schultz that sailed high. Looking to equalize, senior
Danny Canaviri had a header attempt that was tipped over the goal by Patriots' goalkeeper John McGuffin, who finished the contest with five saves for the shutout.
